Fashion Week of Rochester

Fashion Week of Rochester launched in 2010 to engage the community in a three-day event that would spotlight local designers, boutiques, businesses and artists while shining a light on youth homelessness. In its thirteenth year, Fashion Week 2023 will include six runway shows throughout the year, and continue to bring awareness and financial support to The Center for Youth’s homeless programs, so no child or youth in our community is faced with an uncertain, unstable or unsafe place to live.

“We decided from the very beginning that Fashion Week would combine talent, art, design, fashion and flair to celebrate our amazing creative community while pledging to address the challenges our homeless youth face,” said Meghan Mundy, Chief Fashion Organizer of Fashion Week of Rochester. “We have never veered from that goal. We believe that is the higher mission of Fashion Week.”

“We try to re-energize the city with exciting, surprising and creative events each year while refocusing the community’s attention on our youth,” said Elaine Spaull, Executive Director of The Center for Youth.

Through the Coronavirus pandemic, Fashion Week Rochester has been able to keep all shelters open with revenue generated from the shows. Support from Fashion Week has helped The Center open its New Beginning House, an independent living residence for young men who are working to finish school or vocational programs and start careers. The Center was able to keep the doors open on the Crisis Nursery to provide care to babies and children during family emergencies related to medical illness, homelessness and domestic violence. And Fashion Week has supported young mothers and their babies at the Chrysalis House with shelter, life-skills training and educational and career guidance.

Thank you to all sponsors, boutiques, designers, vendors, advertisers, models, volunteers, in-kind donors and ticket holders for your continued support.
